How to Use a Shaving Brush
To get the most out of a shaving brush you should look for one made purely from badger hair. Badger is the best known material for the retention of water. It is a natural product that is shorn from farmed badger, a bit like sheep they have their coat removed twice a year. When you dip your brush into a bowl of hot water, after a quick shake it will still hold enough water to quickly whip up a decent lather from your shaving soap. When you apply the shaving soap in a circular motion the shaving brush will lift your facial hair surrounding it with the shaving soap. The lifting of the facial hair makes for a comfortable shave. Shaving brushes need to be looked after and the best way of storing a brush is on a shaving stand with the brush hanging so that it can dry out.
