Open Comb Double Edged Safety Razor

The Goodfella open comb double edged safety razor is 100% designed, manufactured and built in New Zealand by Kiwishaver Limited. The Goodfella design is based on the classic old school razor that is highly sought after. The open comb design sets the standard in classic shaves ensuring the head never gets clogged with shaving products and stubble so there is less pressure and stress exerted on your skin.

The Goodfella is perfectly balanced allowing the weight of the handle to present the double edged razor blade at the optimum cutting angle to your face.  The result is a smooth and close, yet gentle shave. Our razor is hand finished and built by our skilled team who are passionate about their trades. The Goodfella weighs in at a hefty 80 grammes, the stainless steel handle is 10mm in diameter and 77mm in length. Each open comb head is checked three times during production to ensure strict quality control so you get the perfect shave every time.

    I'm 20, have moderately sensitive skin, and pretty much hated shaving before using this razor.

    This razor a) gives a really close shave, and b) is really easy on your skin. (takes a couple of goes to 'get it')

    Thought about the price for a while, but it was definitely worth it coz it pays itself back in the long run, and I will certainly be using it in the long run. Cheers, I will be recommending these.

    I've owned this Goodfella for about 4 months now. Sometimes I switch between this and my perfect specimen of a feather as-d1 and my Ikon open comb razor. Comparatively these are all pretty different from each other, but I have to say this Goodfella gives me as good and sometimes even better of a shave than the other ones. Originally, I only bought it to use as a travel razor, but maybe it's because of the smaller size and narrower head plate, I get the most control out of this razor, the best head shaves, no cuts and no irritation around the neck/jaw from it (derby blades). My favorite brush has been the Men-U and I use Mitchell's wool-fat which are also solid performers. You do have to make sure the blade is even in this razor unlike the feather and Ikon's self blade even-ing design. That would be my only pet peeve about this fine shaver.

    I have a thicker beard and sensitive skin. I shave far too close. The Edwin Jagger/Muhle head, the standard Icon and Weber razors are far too aggressive for me (all with closed heads) I have the Merkur 25C, very nice no rash. I like the Goodfella too. Nice close irritation cut free shave. It makes an average blade seem better. It gives a closer shave than the 25C with even less irritation. Well made. Looks small but does not slip in the hand. A precise shaver which is nice to use. I will buy another in case of loss.

    I wanted to buy a shaver that would last - one, to be a little more green in my life and stop buying plastic shavers and two, i figured it would save me a lot of money in the long run. I was a little nervous buying a mens shaver for my legs but I needn't of been...Its fabulous! it works great and i am so glad i made this investment. I am recommending it to all my friends!
