I was given a Goodfella razor as a gift and I absolutely love it.
Cheers, Darren
Got my black chrome beastie today and couldn’t wait to use it – had a shave at 2pm! Lovely effect, and no drag! However, it occurred to me that some sort of box/container in which to store/protect the edge would be very useful, especially if stored away from my better halves legs :)

I recently bought a goofella and I’m proud of it ! It’s a great razor and some of my friends would like one also …….. long life to Goodfella!

Purchased your chrome razor from ShavingEssentials.com here in the US. The razor is truly beautiful a stunning work of design and craft, and continue to sing its praises on those accounts. Keep doing what you’re doing. The Goodfella’s a winner!

I had been using a Merkur HD for 3 weeks prior and that gave me 3-4 nicks first shave and then eventually none at all. But I gave up DE shaving because my face was turning bright red. It was aggrivating my slight rosacea. So I returned to cartridges. Then I read about the Goodfella and how it wasn’t very aggressive. So I gave that a go, plus it’s made in NZ and I got shaving cream samples and a good blade supply. It was such a good deal. I found it didn’t cut as close as the Merkur but the shave was perfectly OK with Crystal blades which apparently are recommended to start with. I’ll try the Derby’s soon and I’m expecting a closer shave, I wanted to start out safe. It was the Derby’s in the Merkur which gave me the skin problems. But it does look like the Goodfella suits me better.

Over the decades–my beard is now white–I have shaved with straight razors, a Rolls razor, numerous Gillettes, and a handful of German razors with bar guards, open combs, and slanted open combs. None of those would shave me close without tearing up my skin but I find that the Goodfella will. I tried a Goodfella because it was reputed to be gentle and I had never heard of a gentle open comb, but then I took my heart in my hands and held it so that the blade cut at what would normally be a dangerously acute angle. Not a drop of blood, just the smoothest shave I have ever felt on my face.
